Lake Norman Fire Chief Kevin Clark and Deputy Chief Neel Brawley announced Friday, April 17th the following leadership positions at the fire station.
- Assistant Chief /Training Daniel Mackey.
“Daniel has been a key part of LKNFD’s efforts for the past 15 years”, Clark noted. “His service as an officer and trainer at Kannapolis FD, as well as a Board member of Sherrills Ford FD, depicts his commitment and experience.” We are excited to have him leading our training efforts throughout our organization.
Additionally, Clark and Brawley announced their complete support for the department’s existing team of 4 captains. “Our captains’ collectively have over 80 years experience in the fire industry, and we have charged them with leading our teams out the door to serve the community” said Chief Brawley.
The 3 full–time captains are charged with running the station on a day-to-day basis.

- Captain Peter Lambeck
The 4th existing captain is responsible for volunteer personnel, along with additional administrative and operational tasks. “Rick has proven to be a key go-to individual who has a passion for our fire department”, stated Chief Clark.

Following the officer announcements, Chief Clark and Chief Brawley issued these joint statements:
“The basis of the Lake Norman Fire and Rescue Department is to ensure the safety of our firefighting team, our community members, and their homes and businesses. From our volunteers, to our part-time professionals, full-time employees and leadership team, we are dedicated to serving and protecting our community from personal and property injury and loss by fire and other emergencies. The leadership team is united and committed in it’s vision for the future, and will do their best to uphold the Lake Norman Fire and Rescue charter.”
