Last evening, Tuesday April 7th, Lake Norman held its annual board elections. The first order of duty was to elect a new Fire Chief. Andy Weatherman had been serving in that capacity for the past 10 years, and last month notified the board that he would be stepping down. A special thanks to Chief Weatherman for his time guiding the station over the last decade. Chief Weatherman will continue to serve the station in many capacities including as a board director.
Kevin Clark was voted in as the new Chief by the board last night. Kevin has served as a volunteer Deputy Chief during Chief Weatherman’s time as well as for many years at the station. Congratulations to Chief Clark in his new role. Over the next 30 days, Chief Clark will work to put together his leadership team.
Also last night board officer positions were voted on with the following results:
Kevin Cuddihy; President, Tom Uhl; Vice President, Patrick McCarter; Secretary, and Jane Laney; Treasurer.
A special thanks goes out to the following board officers who have helped lead the station along with Chief Weatherman;
Eddie Neel (Past Chief), Larry Delph (past Chief), and Ryan Laney (past Battalion Chief)
